Meet Mihai

I started my career in talent acquisition working in-house, first in Romania and then across Central and Eastern Europe. Early on I was placing commercial and operations roles for fast-scaling businesses, a mix of local hires and candidates brought in from other markets.

That expanded quickly. Working with e-commerce operators and Amazon-focused businesses meant hiring across the US, UK, Philippines, India, and Latin America simultaneously. By the time I had led the build-out of full recruitment functions for companies like SellerPlex, where we placed over 200 people in Amazon Seller operations, and I had run searches across more than 70 countries.

In 2020 I founded Valuable Recruitment to do this work independently: focused on digital-first companies, leadership and specialist roles, and a model built around outcomes rather than volume. Every search comes directly through me. No handoffs, no account managers, no junior coordinators.

How the experience behind Valuable Recruitment was built.

2015 – 2017

In-house talent acquisition

Started in internal recruiting for mid-size businesses in Romania, placing commercial, operations, and customer-facing roles. Learned the fundamentals: sourcing, interviewing, stakeholder management, and what makes a hire stick.

2017 – 2019

Cross-border hiring for e-commerce operators

Moved into the e-commerce sector at a time when Amazon-native businesses were scaling rapidly. Began running searches across the UK, US, Philippines, India, and Latin America, simultaneously managing roles in multiple time zones with very different talent pools.

2019 – 2020

Building recruitment operations at scale

Led the build-out of full recruitment functions for fast-scaling operators, including SellerPlex, where the mandate was to hire for Amazon Seller operations from scratch. Over 200 people placed across the team. That project made the 70+ countries figure concrete. It was not a claim, it was a logistics problem we had to solve.
